The organization's logo bears the side peak of a mountain and
a figure of a climber with a backpack, highlighted by sunset and
enclosed by the shape of the province of Catanduanes and encircled
by the organization's name.
THE NAME
GreenCat stands for Group of Environment Enthusiasts of
Catanduanes. Accredited by the Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC) with the complete name "Group of Environment
Enthusiasts of Catanduanes Mountaineering and Outdoor Club, Inc."
The name GreenCat can represent other
things such as the nominal
meaning of the word "Green" which stands for the land-based
natural ecology whereas the word "Cat" which stands
for the abbreviated name of the island province of which it is
based - Catanduanes, or, the wildcats (mongoose),
the endangered species inhabiting
the organization's Mother Mountain,
Mt. Lantad. |
